Our impactful metrics from the field
kilograms of CO₂ saved in 2024 – the equivalent of 407 round-trip flights between Paris and New York
kilograms of recovered batteries in 2024 – the equivalent of around 258 complete electric scooters
hidden data requests blocked daily per device – the equivalent to hundreds of confidential emails never sent out
people who received food assistance in 2024 through our technologies – the equivalent of the entire population of Paris and its surrounding area
Social Impact
Innovation at the service of social health, development aid and government projects
Governments and NGOs are crucial actors in providing essential items to populations in need. Our solution ensures that aid reaches the right beneficiaries with unmatched security and reflects our shared commitment to digital transformation that respects privacy, transparency and inclusion.
Contributing to the reduction of global hunger
In the context of worldwide humanitarian aid, Famoco has implemented a solution utilizing mobile NFC technology. Once enrolled by international organizations, beneficiaries can securely and even offline, access fresh produce and essential goods from local shops and market networks.
Supporting compliance with government regulations
To meet new public health regulations in Ivory Coast, Famoco partnered with institutions to deploy inclusive identification systems. By decentralizing card production and enabling personalization at the point of enrollment, Famoco ensures efficient and secure access to healthcare, reduces fraud, and strengthens health monitoring — including in rural areas.
Identity for all
In humanitarian contexts, our frontier technologies guarantee identity-agnostic access for all, enabling individuals to exercise their rights regardless of background. Over 40 million beneficiaries in 50 countries are supported by humanitarian organizations through Famoco solutions — ensuring protection for individuals while causing no digital harm to responders.
Engaging in solidarity and donation programs
As a partner of MOSIP, we prioritize data privacy and security, especially for vulnerable populations in government and social welfare programs. By delivering a complete end-to-end biometric solution, we leverage technology for social impact and foster sustainable economic opportunities in agriculture, health, micro-commerce, and education sectors.

Environmental Projects
Our commitment to greener logistics
According to the International Energy Agency, logistics activities are responsible for 11% of global CO2 emissions. As an international company, we recognize our responsibility in this regard and are dedicated to making continuous improvements. Our CO2 reduction plan includes five actions applied to our entire logistics process.
Direct Shipments
Instead of systematically shipping our equipment to our logistics center in Belgium, we prioritize direct deliveries to our clients whenever possible, in order to limit transport-related emission.
Sea freight instead of air freight
For large device shipments to Belgium, as well as batteries and accessories, we prioritize sea freight over air transport. While this process takes longer, we have adapted our logistics to favor this method and significantly cut our emissions
Reduction of emissions calculated per ton per kilometer
Emissions are calculated per ton per kilometer. By reducing either the transported mass or the distance traveled, we actively lower the carbon footprint of our logistics
Maximizing battery utilization
With our partner VoltR, we extend battery life instead of replacing them too soon. 70% of tested batteries continue to operate and are reused, while the remaining 30% are recycled — avoiding 350 kg of waste every year. A concrete step in cutting emissions and advancing our Lean & Green certification journey.
Device repair centers
With five dedicated repair centers across Africa (Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ethiopia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo), we ensure faster support, reduced downtime, and greater sustainability. By fixing devices locally, reusing components, and providing training, we not only keep our clients’ operations running smoothly but also cut the carbon footprint linked to long-distance shipments.

The Lean & Green program has been a real opportunity for our logistics department. Beyond reducing the environmental impact of our operations, this initiative allowed us to take a step back from our habits and procedures, and to make certain decisions more objective. It was truly a team effort, with strong involvement from other Famoco departments in implementing our actions to reduce the carbon emissions of our activities. We are proud of the progress we’ve made and of the changes this program has brought to our logistics operations and environmental impact.
Data security and Ethics compliance
Your data where it belongs
During transactions, data packets are exchanged between the device and servers to process and complete business operations. This data can include customer data, financial records, geolocation information, or even medical details. Famoco technology is based on its own operating system, guaranteeing the protection of user data.
Data sovereignty
Unlike most Android-based devices, Famoco’s ecosystem operates without Google Mobile Services (GMS). This guarantees that no data is shared with third parties, and that all operations remain confined within a closed, secure environment fully managed by the client. Moreover, we oversee the implementation of GDPR standards, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement in data governance.
Monitoring and protecting patient data privacy
In the healthcare sector, Famoco’s mobile devices are often used by medical teams to access and record sensitive information — from patient monitoring data and medical histories to care reports and contact details. Such data, by nature highly confidential, must be protected with the utmost rigor. Famoco integrates security by design into all its solutions. All data exchanges between devices and applications are encrypted and authenticated, preventing any unauthorized access or interception.
Restricted use of devices
Famoco devices are designed for professional use, and nothing else. Thanks to our centralized Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform, every terminal can be configured, monitored, and controlled remotely – no distractions, no unauthorized apps, no unnecessary background services that open security risks. You can also define geofencing policies to restrict usage to specific areas and receive alerts when a device leaves its allowed perimeter.
