About Farms Digital
Founded in 1938, COMPAGNIE FRUITIÈRE is a leading European producer and the primary fruit producer in the Africa-Caribbean-Pacific region, specializing in the production, transportation, and distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables. To manage operations on its banana plantations, the group developed its own software: FARMS. This tool allows for complete traceability of the fruit, from the field to the packing process. It now also helps prevent and monitor diseases, optimize productivity, and streamline labor management.
Today, FARMS DIGITAL is an independent company based in Aix-en-Provence, serving both COMPAGNIE FRUITIÈRE and external clients of all sizes. It also provides solutions for exporting companies needing reliable production forecasts, and indirectly supports compliance with certifications and standards such as Fair Trade and others.
Challenges
The company was looking for rugged devices built for tough environments, along with a centralized fleet management solution. Their goal was to quickly roll out their information system across five production subsidiaries in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Equador and Ghana, despite having a small and remote team.
